  • Q: Are there any seats reserved for any kind of minority students?

    Ans :Yes. Institute has about 51% seats reserved for Gujarati Linguistic Minority students who are domicile of Maharashtra.

  • Q: Do I need to have Domicile Certificate?

    Ans: Yes you must have domicile certificate if you want to apply in  minority category.


  • Q: When can I apply for admission?

    Ans: After CET result and HSC result whichever is later.

  • Q: What is procedure to apply for admission?

    Ans: Admission notices and admission brochure will be made available on college website in 1st week of June. Go through brochure and notices.

    • Pre admission form is on line.
    • Fill up the form take printout of form.   Attach copies of all necessary documents to form.
    • Submit the form in the college along with necessary processing fee. At the time of submission of form you have to bring all originals for verification. Schedule of form submission will be made available on website in the form of notice.
    • Wait for final merit list to be displayed.
    • After final merit list schedule of counseling will be displayed. Follow the schedule for securing admission.
  • Q: IS there any quota for NRI Students?

    ANS: Yes following table gives number of seats in each category and in each branch of Engineering.

  • Q : What is computer engineering?

    Ans: Since engineering is the application of the principles of basic science to the solving of problems within constraints, computer engineering is engineering applied to computers and computer-based systems.

    In other words, computer engineers build computers such as PCs, Workstations and Supercomputers. They also build multidisciplinary computer-based systems such as those found in cars, planes, appliances, electronics, mobile phones, communication networks and many other products. Computer engineers typically design not only the hardware, but also much of the software in computer-based systems.

    Ans : Computer engineers work for companies such as Intel, Accenture, Mastek, Infosys, Google, TCS and many others. Also in industries that build or use computer-based systems, such as telecommunications, automotive, aerospace etc.

    Ans:  Companies like Accenture, Infosys, L & T , Godrej, Geometric Solution , Convonix  etc.  recruits EXTC  students. From last three years approximately 87% of students out of eligible students got placed.

  • Q. What is Information Technology?

    Ans:  Information Technology is the combination of hardware and software technologies required for the capturing, storing and processing of data and other information to every nook and corner of the world.

  •  Q  What is difference between Between Information Technology (IT) & Computer engineering (CS)?


    Ans:  The basic difference is that computer science is a core branch & IT a specialized branch, where IT professionals are software professionals who are expertise for automation. IT includes Networking, Database and web and programming languages where as in CS the main concentration is on Programming languages and Architecture and design.
