Industry Academic Interface

Making students industry ready has never been more challenging and to understand its current requirements necessitates the formation of a Liaison between the Industry and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The Industry-Academia Interface (IAI), formed with this intention will work closely with various Industries and Departments to strive towards preparing the students for Industry readiness leading to internship and finally placements. It will also facilitate the faculty in identifying potential Industries for short visits, collaboratively working on research projects.

Objective of IAI

IAI will work in close association with various other committees to target the following objectives:

To identify industries where possible linkage can be done.
To encourage industry participation in the Institute through guest lectures, industrial visits, conducting technical workshops, exploring internship opportunities and offering projects.
To engage industries for training their personnel and explore the possibility of faculty members getting trained at the industry.
To engage active MOUs with the industry.
To set up industry driven courses as well as industry sponsored lab/ lab facilities.
To engage in consortia project funded by the Government having industry involvement.
