Certificate Course in RF and Antennas

Radio frequency and Antennas has been one of the major thrust areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Most of the RF based industries demand skilled professionals with conceptual understanding and specialized training in this field.

The certificate course aims to provide basic knowledge of RF domain along with design oriented practical skills. It would be helpful to new entrants to the field of RF, interns, graduates from technical domain, engineers from industries to better manage their projects.

  • LO2: Design and test RF antennas and /Or other components

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility: Approved in BOS, EXTC
  • Graduation with Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics and Telecommunication / Physics / Computational Sciences from any recognized university OR
  • Engineering with Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics and Telecommunication / Physics / Computational Sciences / Allied programs / from any recognized universityOR
  • Engineering Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication / Allied programmes (with minimum 2 years of work experience in relevant field)

  • Basics of RF Technology (Feb 2023-Mar 2013-5 weeks)
  • Design of RF Components (Mar 2023-Apr 2023- 5 weeks)
  • RF Antennas (Apr 2023- May 2023- 5 weeks )
  • Introduction to EMI/EMC (May 2023-June 2023- 5 weeks)
  • Project1 and Project2 (June 2023-July 2023-5 weeks)

Note:The assessment of the course(s) will be based on continuous evaluation and there will not be any end-semester theory examinations.

Certification by Somaiya Vidyavihar University

  • After successful completion of the individual course(s) of the certificate programme the student will be issued a certificate of credit earned under the Academic Bank of Credits of NEP 2020
  • After successful completion of all credit requirements of the certificate programme the student will be issued a passing certificate by Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
