- Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of persons with disability) from any of the following categories of institutions —
- All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions
- University Grants Commission (UGC) approved Universities
- Central Government approved institutions
- State Government approved institutions
- Foreign University recognized by Association of Indian Universities
- Obtained non zero positive score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology;

Admission process will be carried out in different phases and rounds based on different entrance examinations:Phases: 1 -GATE 2022 or 2023/2-Sponsored candidates/3-GATE-2024/4-PERA-CET for M.Tech-2024/5-CUET for M Tech 2024. Visit the Important Dates section on the college website for a schedule of phases/rounds.

Candidates can apply any one or more than one phases/rounds within the same pre-application (selecting appropriate options in your dashboard) based entrance examinations using the login credentials (registered email and password).

A provisional seat offered or not offered (based on the merit, programme preference and availability of seats taken together) will be communicated via registered email.
Important Instructions

- A candidate can apply as per his/her eligibility in multiple M. Tech. Program by giving preferences.
- There will be a personal interaction with candidates by an expert committee.
- Admission will be offered based on the merit, preference, and availability of seats taken together. The candidate will be communicated via email about his/her offered seat or waitlisted number (if any).
- A candidate who is offered an admission needs to pay Rs. 50000/- as per the stipulated admission schedule (i.e. deadline) to secure the same.
- A candidate who does not pay the requisite amount as per the deadline will lose his/her claim on the offered seat during that phase. No further communication will be sent in this regard and no grievances will be considered.
- A candidate whose result is awaited is required to give an undertaking as per the Annexure-5.
- Only under special circumstances, where a candidate having secured provisional admission, fails in his/her qualifying exam, then the entire fees paid by the candidate would be refunded.
- Cancellation, if any, at any stage, will be as per cancellation policy
- The admission schedule may change under unavoidable circumstances or as per directives / instructions from admitting authorities of Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU). The revised schedule, if any, will be notified on the website.
