Certificate Course: Industrial Automation and Robotics

Learning Outcomes

At the successful completion of this program student will be able to

• LO1: Develop skills to Execute and carry different activities in process and Automation industry.
• LO2: Understand working of PLC, I/O modules of PLC, Programming languages and instructions of PLC, design PLC based application by proper selection and sizing criteria, developing GUI and ladder program.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduation with Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / Physics / Computational Sciences and allied fields OR
• Engineering (or in final year) with Computer Science / Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication / Allied programs / Any Engineering Graduate with minimum 40% in the qualifying degree. OR
• Diploma (or in final year) in Computer Science / Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication / Allied programs
• Relevant 6 months working experience in allied field

Assessment Method

Quiz, Test, Laboratory work, Projects

Note:The assessment of the course(s) will be based on continuous evaluation and there will not be any end-semester theory examinations.

Certification by Somaiya Vidyavihar University

• After successful completion of the individual course(s) of the certificate programme the student will be issued a certificate of credit earned under the Academic Bank of Credits of NEP 2020
• After successful completion of all credit requirements of the certificate programme the student will be issued a passing certificate by Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
