Minor in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence

This program will explore the various facets of AI techniques in robotics. Artificially intelligent robots have evolved in their sensing, acting, planning, and learning capabilities. The contemporary applications of Robotics and AI domain ranges from robot in humanoid form to AI enabled robotic assistance in medical and critical infrastructure domains. The scope of the program is to begin with fundamentals of robot and extend capacity building to build practical task performing robots. The fundamental course on AI offers concepts including basics of AI to coverage of essential machine learning algorithms for classification and clustering data collected by robots. The course on advanced concepts of AI includes topics such as Convolutional Neural network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural network (RNN). These advanced techniques aim to solve the problems associated with nonlinearities in Robotic data. The experience of attaining this minor program will be further elevated through project based learning.
