Happy to share a proud moment for Somaiya Vidyavihar University 

Team Vision Craft from K J Somaiya School of Engineering has won the Smart India Hackathon 2025 Grand Finale (Software Edition) (Grand Finale Winner – Cash Prize ₹1,50,000)

Smart India Hackathon 2025 witnessed extensive nationwide participation, with over 8 lakh students registering from institutions across India, establishing it as one of the largest hackathons globally. A total of 271 problem statements were released, comprising 191 software-based and 80 hardware-based challenges. These problem statements were contributed by various Central Government Ministries, State Government departments, PSUs, private organizations, and NGOs, reflecting a strong industry–government collaboration

The challenges were proposed by prominent Union Ministries and Government Departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, among others. They were categorized across 16 thematic areas such as Economy, Smart Education, Healthcare, Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, Rural Development, and Sustainability, ensuring alignment with key national priorities.
