Qualification:

• A Ph.D in Drug Design, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology or a closely related ffield is required.
• Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.

Required Experience:

• Experience : A demonstrated track record of research excellence and the potential to secure funding. Teaching experaience at the university level (3-4 years) is preferred.
• Publications: A solid publication record in high-impact journals within the field.
• Research Grants: Individuals with record of funding received from govt agencies would be preferred.

Job Description:

Research

• Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research projects/programs in drug design and discovery. 
• Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with other faculty members, research institutions and industry partners on interdisciplinary projects.
• Supervise and mentor postgraduate students, PhD fellows and research staff.

Teaching

• Teach postgraduate courses in drug design, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and related areas.
• Develop new courses and curricula that reflect the latest advances in the field.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including supervising student research projects and theses.

Collaboration, Outreach and Administration

• Participate in departmental, institute, and university committees and activities.
• Engage in outreach activities to promote the department's mission and enhance its visibility.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and strategies.
