Project Assistant (Learning Programs Facilitator -Environmental and Sustainability)

Job Description

 

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Education (emphasis on innovative pedagogies), Environmental Science,  Agriculture, Education, Sustainability, or a related field.

  • Specialization or rich experience in experiential learning, immersive learning, curriculum design, or sustainability education (Preferred).

  • Proficiency in development  of educational content and materials, with an emphasis on digital and multilingual communication.

  • Candidates who have completed "Teach For India'' Fellowship are desirable. 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in travelling, program planning, coordination, and implementation with a focus on nature/environmental and sustainability education.

  • Experience working with schools,  higher education institutes, community groups, and educational institutions in delivering workshops, capacity-building activities, or similar programs

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and Creative tools for developing content designs.

Job Description:

  • Programme Planning and Coordination: Spearhead the planning and execution of Edible Landscapes and REACH Fellowship initiatives across different campuses and landscapes within the Somaiya ecosystem as an action-based educational research. This includes developing multilingual learning journals, collaborating with experts, alumni, and partners to deliver sessions on sustainability, environment, and biodiversity, and Improving Student Engagement and community development (Aligning STAR ranking).

  • Co-Designing Experiential Learning Experiences: Take lead to collaborate with various faculty members to co-design and develop credit-based skill development courses, summer and winter schools, campus engagement initiatives, and other experiential learning activities focused on environmental education and sustainability for Higher education institutes aligning with CASCADE programmatic areas

  • Project Reports and Entrepreneurial Efforts: Work closely with other CASCADE team members to develop content, reports, and project summaries that promote the initiatives across various platforms, including the website. Support Co-Directors with entrepreneurial activities to promote and expand these initiatives with external support, ensuring their sustainability and broadening their impact.
