Experiential Education Specialist
Requisite Qualification :
- Graduate/Post Graduate
- Bachelor's/Master's in Education/Environmental Science/Social Sciences/ Child Development or related fields.
- Training in experiential/outdoor education preferred.
- Teach For India Fellowship or equivalent experience in student-centered learning approaches will be preferred
Requisite Experience:
2+ years of teaching experience in schools, colleges, NGOs, or institutes
Hands-on Experience in Outdoor & Rural Education Prior experience in planning
Other specific required Skills for the Role :
Experiential Learning Facilitation: Ability to design and lead hands-on, inquiry-based activities that engage students in real-world learning outside the classroom.
Risk Assessment & Safety Management: Proficiency in identifying potential hazards, ensuring student safety, and handling emergency situations effectively.
Environmental & Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of natural ecosystems, historical sites, and local cultures to enrich learning experiences.
Job Description: Experiential Learning Facilitator Role Overview:
The Experiential Learning Facilitator will design and execute experiential learning trips for students, particularly in rural schools. The role involves planning, logistics, student engagement, collaboration with experts, and documentation to ensure impactful learning experiences with zero errors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Educational Trip Planning & Coordination:
- Develop a structured calendar for outdoor learning trips with rural schools.
- Manage logistics, including transportation, permissions, and safety measures.
2. Pre & Post-Educational Trip Management:
- Organize pre-trip briefings and ensure students are well-prepared.
- Document key takeaways and manage post-trip reporting.
3. Student Engagement & On-Site Facilitation:
- Conduct interactive and engaging learning sessions on-site.
- Ensure smooth execution of activities with zero errors.
- Design and maintain student reflection journals for deeper learning.
4. Collaboration & Expert Engagement:
- Work closely with subject matter experts to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with schools, teachers, and communities to tailor programs.
5. Communication & Documentation:
- Create engaging newsletters with trip highlights and reports.
- Develop relevant social media content to showcase learning experiences.
