Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field. Relevant certifications or professional training in social media management are a plus.

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years relevant experience.

Position Overview:

  • The position will be an integral part of the Public Relations Department, primarily responsible for content creation, writing and coordinating activities related to communication and publications at Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU) and Somaiya Vidyavihar (SVV). This role involves developing engaging content for e-newsletters, websites and other platforms while ensuring alignment with the institution's branding and communication strategies.

Job Description:

  • Content Creation & Writing: Write and edit articles, features and reports for the SVU and SVV e-newsletters. Develop compelling stories that highlight the SVV and SVU's achievements, events and milestones. Create content for internal and external communication.
  • E-Newsletter Management: Oversee the end-to-end process of e-newsletter production, including content planning, layout coordination and distribution. Collaborate with contributors, faculty and staff to source information and articles for the newsletters.
  • Coordination for Publications: Assist in producing high-quality publications for the PR Department, such as brochures, annual reports and event booklets. Coordinate with design teams, printers and other vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of publications.
  • Social Media and Digital Content (SVV handles): Support the creation of content for digital platforms, including social media posts, blogs and videos. Ensure consistency in tone, style and adherence to institutional branding guidelines across all.
