Engineering education vs. employability: The gender gap, to understand female participation in the sector

To understand the participation of women in the engineering sector and ways to improve it, The Hindu hosted a webinar titled, ‘Addressing gender bias in engineering’, on January 17 at 5:00 p.m. The panellists included Sobhitha Neelanath, Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Salesforce India; Prof. Poonam Kumar, Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Guwahati; Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Director, K J Somaiya College of Engineering,Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
