CodeIgniter is a powerful PHP framework with a very small footprint, built for developers who need a simple and elegant toolkit to create full-featured web applications. As of now, no special IDE exists just for CodeIgniter PHP framework. This motivated us to develop an Integrated Development Environment for the CodeIgniter PHP Framework. We named this IDE as “IgniteDE”. The features under consideration are Easy wiring of MVC components Auto template code Generation for controller and Model Automatic configuration of Database Files Folder Explorer Make the developer free from the overhead of the storage of files in appropriate folders and managing the files for different projects.
